The Court Case Manager position provides a variety of services to assist Municipal Court defendants; identifying and addressing the needs of individuals involved in the criminal justice system, pre-and post-disposition. The Court Case Manager works under the guidance of the Judges to implement evidence-based practices designed to reduce recidivism and improve quality of life.Details: Screening will begin on Thursday, May 30th, 2024. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Meet directly with defendants pre and post sentencing, using established interview techniques and assessment instruments, to assist with discharge plans and to determine programmatic needs of defendants to develop and monitor treatment plans post sentencing.Provide defendants post-sentencing support through case management and offering information and/or referrals for mental health services, substance use disorder services, and other various programs/resources.Assist with the Pretrial Assistance to Support Success (PASS) program to coordinate services for defendants’ pre-disposition to support a successful re-entry into the community following release from incarceration. Establish a collaborative network within the community and other relevant partners to involve family members, community resources, and social service agencies to assist defendants, pre-and post-disposition, with employment and vocational skills, educational and training needs, housing, substance abuse resources, etc.Assist with Shelter Court and other outreach initiatives by attending, providing appropriate paperwork, ensuring participants understand the proceedings, and coordinating with other service providers to attend court and provide resources as needed. Perform other duties, as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to four (4) years of experience working or providing case management services in behavioral health care, social services; working in a correctional facility with direct contact with clients, or another relevant field.
