Definition
Under the supervision of a Recreation Supervisor, performs a variety of routine functions involved with the use of the Tennis and Pickleball Courts.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Takes reservations for court times; collects fees for court use, clinics, camp and tournaments; assigns players to courts; maintains a log of players and tag numbers; answers questions and provides information to the public in person and over the phone; may sell or rent tennis & pickleball balls, rackets, and other equipment; performs routine maintenance such as cleaning up courts and picking up trash; administers basic first aid and CPR as necessary; may drive van to pick up receipts; performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
Some Knowledge of: the game of tennis and/or pickleball; arithmetic computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Ability to: Read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position; count and record numerical data; perform basic arithmetic computations such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication; follow detailed oral and written directions; establish and maintain good working relationships with coworkers; deal courteously with the general public; maintain suitable records and files; administer basic first aid.
Special Requirements
Valid New Jersey State Driver's license, or ability to obtain one, may be required.
Tools And Equipment Used
Cash register, calculator, may operate a Van.
Physical Demands
Position requires employee to: Frequently lift a case of tennis balls up to 25 lbs.
Special vision requirements: Close, Distance, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Position requires employee to: Frequently work in outdoor weather conditions.
