The City is searching for an energetic, self-driven person to join the City of Peoria’s Beardsley Reclamation Facility. This position will have direct contact with the City staff across multiple departments and division, as well as external customers and vendor alike. The purpose of this position is to provide operational support duties to the lead operator or operator in charge. The position will utilize communication skills to provide excellent internal and external customer service support.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Previous experience in a Municipal/Government setting
- The ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA)
- Experience with a computerized maintenance management system.

Minimum Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 1 to 2 years’ experience in the same or similar position utilizing wastewater industry machinery
- Physical Demands: Work requires heavy physical exertion and effort
- Valid Arizona Class “D” Driver’s License upon hire
- Must be able to obtain an Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Grade I Wastewater certification within one year of hire
