What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parks and Recreation Director Administrative Assistant position at City of Rifle?
Position Purpose:
The Parks and Recreation Director Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative support to the Parks and Recreation Director and the department as a whole. This role includes overseeing cemetery permitting, organizing and coordinating internal and external meetings, assisting in the special event and banner permit processes, and ensuring effective communication and coordination across the department and within organization. This assistant will track and report on departmental expenditures. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism. This is an in-person position that is not eligible for regular remote work.
Experience and Training:
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Job Requirements: Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Ability to pass background check, credit check and MVR with results that are acceptable to the City of Rifle.
Work Experience in Positions Similar or Related to This Job: 5 years related administrative support and/or customer service experience in a professional office setting required; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above may be considered.
This position is full-time with full benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance, as well as retirement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay. Wage range is $21.07 - $24.28 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. This position will close on Sunday, August 17th at 8:00 PM. The City of Rifle is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
