What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Service Worker position at City of Round Rock?
Under general supervision the Utility Services Worker position provides support for the maintenance and repair of water and wastewater collection and distribution systems. Trains and/or assists other staff members; ensures adequate equipment and supplies are available for completing assignments; and assists crew leaders as needed.
Handles morning checklist by ensuring all fluids, tires, lighting are in operation; gets tools ready; checks with crew leader to confirm all parts and tools are ready.Performs daily job by meeting with crew leader and heading to job site to unload equipment; inspects area and gets tools ready; locates valves and hydrants.
Provides clean up by washing service truck, dump truck, backhoe, trailer, parts and tools; checks fuel gas, tires, lighting operations and fluids before ending the day; parks all vehicles.
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
One year of general maintenance preferred.

WWLM: Wastewater Collections - Must obtain Wastewater Collections I within one (1) year of hire.
Must have a current Texas Driver's License.Must be able to obtain a Class A CDL within six (6) months of hire.
