SUMMARY
Provides a wide variety of professional level support for the Mayor and Council Office (Council) and coordinates activities. Incumbent represents the Council at meetings when required and appropriate. Incumbent provides extensive research, professional assistance, project management, and recommendations on City issues and performs highly responsible and confidential administrative work covering a broad range of municipal activities. This is a professional position requiring exceptional analytical and communication skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's Degree and three years of progressively responsible experience supporting senior and/or executive managers; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description above.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Arizona driver's license at time of hire.
SELECTION PROCESS
Applicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include a panel interview.
Successful candidates will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include:
