The City of Wilmington is seeking part time seasonal laborers for maintenance of the City Parks. Under immediate supervision, the Laborer repairs, maintains and cleans park grounds, rights-of-way and related structures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- No more than 4 points on driving report.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Screen & Background Check.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Sweeps and/or shovels or picks-up rubbish and debris from park grounds; performs leaf collections, mows grass, trim trees and weed eats sidewalks and right-of-ways; participates in snow removal and ice control.
- Performs maintenance of park and trails; washes and cleans vehicles and other street equipment.
- Attends meetings and serves on committees, as directed; attends training and seminars, as directed.
- Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The starting base salary will be consistent with the City's approved pay plan; this position's starting salary is $10.00 per hour.
