This is a very exciting time for us as the Opera House has just completed a vast professional video upgrade including a complete video interface mixing system that includes a 23'4"x11'4" video wall 16x9 format with 4k resolution at 16 feet, an NEC PA803UL laser projector with two different sized screens, three PTZ Optics cameras, with Black Magic Ultra HD video switcher, QLab, a Nova Star NOVAPRO-UHD- JR, 4K video processors, and we use MAC video editing software, Pro Tools, Canva, Black Magic video recording, and video streaming with Granicus.

 WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The Woodstock Opera House is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Production team! We are seeking an experienced individual for a Stage Crew III position.

This position supports the Production team with the technical and theatrical production elements of the Woodstock Opera House. This position will be expected to set up and run video to enhance live performances for theatre, concerts, and lecture presentations. Some in house video editing will be expected but most content will be provided by presenters. The Stage Crew III-Video Emphasis position will assist primarily in the operation of video equipment, stage management, rigging and other technical requirements (sound/lighting) for the production of performances, exhibits, and events. This position performs under the direction of the Production Manager and/or Assistant Production Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High school degree/equivalent
• Two (2) years of work experience in live video and design production
• Willingness to learn
• Possess appropriate level of knowledge in working with and troubleshooting advanced electronic devices for professional theatrical, concert, and/or software for video recording and production duties as applicable to the video specialization of this position.
• Possess a basic understanding of the principles of sound amplification, mixing and balancing for live events for sound duties and/or the principles of lighting design and its implementation for live events for lighting duties.
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen, including a THC panel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or Technical Certification in the Video production, design/operation.

PAY RATE

The position is a limited part-time, non-exempt/hourly position with a starting pay rate of $20.36 per hour. No additional benefits with the exception of Accrued Sick Leave - earn 1 hour for every 40 hours worked on a prorated basis and available for use after 100 calendar days of employment.
