What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer position at Civil Design Advantage?
Civil Design Advantage (CDA) is accepting applications for a full-time Project Civil Engineer. CDA is looking for a self-motivated, highly organized, and ambitious professional to play a key role in civil engineering design for projects of all kinds. Candidate will work directly with project managers and design team members in a fast-paced, high-culture environment, providing civil engineering services for projects across the state of Iowa and within the Midwest, including a wide variety of public and private land development projects.
Responsibilities
- Concepting and Master Planning.
- Feasibility Studies.
- Due Diligence and Site Analysis.
- Roadway design.
- Site layout and geometric design.
- Site utility design.
- Grading design.
- Construction drawings and specification preparation.
- Detail design.
- Hydrology calculations and storm water management plans.
- Preparation of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans.
- Preparation of Cost Opinions.
- Construction Administration and Observation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Engineering Intern (EI) status is required.
- Strong organizational skills, with high level of attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Self-motivated, enjoys challenges, learning new things, and demonstrates reliability and professionalism.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is desirable.
