Department: Finance Reports to: Director of Finance Location: Pensacola, FL Notice Number: Opening Date: 11/08/202 Closing Date: Finance Analyst POSITION SUMMARY As a Finance partner, this position provides information to management through business modeling and financial analysis; ad hoc data requests and problem solving; researching and analyzing accounting data; and preparing periodic reporting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Capital Control- Prepares Authority For Expenditure (AFE’s) for release of capital. Tracks/Audits expenses on AFE projects submitted, and balances capital with available capital spend Provides management with planning information by compiling and analyzing financial data from disparate sources; providing forecasts; and providing information on results against targets Analyzes and tracks monthly financial reports versus budget and prior year performance Contribute to budgeting process with trend analysis and economic modeling Performs a variety of financial analysis in response to management inquires or to facilitate decision making; researches and prepares ad hoc reports as directed Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations and explaining processes and techniques Reconciles assigned accounts each period and resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field with relevant experience preferably in financial analysis, strategic planning, or budgeting and forecasting Comprehensive knowledge of financial statements Must have advanced knowledge in Excel, and working knowledge in MS Access, PowerPoint and Word Strong analytical and quantitative abilities Experience working with large and complex datasets Must be willing to adapt to a dynamic business environment, balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams Ability to communicate information and ideas in a clear manner to all levels of management, both orally and in writing Job duties may change with or without advance notice.
