What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Assistant position at Clara Martin Center?
We have an opening for a full-time Support Assistant for our Randolph Child and Family Program. The Support Assistant will provide support and mentoring to help children and transitional aged youth through symptoms they are experiencing, and offer encouragement and hope as the client works towards recovery. The Child and Family Support Assistant will emphasize skill development in personal safety, boundary setting, and self-advocacy, as well as cultivating self-worth, personal growth, and personal fulfillment, as well as support development of social supports, and building connection to community. The child and their family will take an active role in the development and implementation of their own treatment goals. The Child and Family Support Specialist may work in the office, community or at clients’ residences, and may provide support face to face, via telehealth, or by telephone.
Personal life experience with recovery from mental health or substance use is required. Experience working with young adults and youth with mental illness or addictions and knowledge of recovery process is preferable. An educational level of a High School Diploma, a valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation is required.
Flexibility, dependability, strong written and verbal communication, computer skills, and the ability to be a team player are essential. Must be able to work independently, use sound judgment and have good boundaries. Evening, overnight or weekend work is required as needed. Competitive wages offered.
