The Business Development Representative (BDR) learns sales best practices and how to use company tools (Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Navigator, Vidyard) to successfully source new meetings. The BDR sells Clearwater’s products, systems and/or services via telephone or electronic means to clients in an assigned territory, industry, or assigned accounts. BDRs may generate prospective customers through cold-calling and may qualify and follow-up with sales leads. Sales can be made through multichannel, inbound, and/or outbound sales activities. This requires application of in-depth technical knowledge of products, systems, and services (may include contract documentation). Responsibilities: Has basic understanding of their assigned Target Addressable Market/Ideal Customer Profile. Has basic understanding of their assigned market personas. Successfully passed Sales Certs and Business Development Gauntlet. Successfully sourced 1 Initial Call with a target account not previously met with in the past 12 months. Operates with regular assistance from mentor, team members, Sales Enablement Division Lead, and Sales Director. Makes mistakes when working individually. Requirements: 2 years’ experience in a Business Development or Inside Sales role Track record attaining and exceeding targets Excellent relationship building and management Competitiveness – passion & drive Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills Desired Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or accounting Experience with Salesforce; or CRM database 2 years of prior sales experience
