Per Diem: Based on LANL-modified GSA rates
Overview:
CMC Project Solutions is seeking experienced Project Schedulers with Primavera P6 expertise to support major initiatives at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). This is a full-time contract position suited for professionals with a background in federal programs, construction, engineering, or energy-related projects. Prior experience in structured environments such as the U.S. Navy nuclear program is highly valued.
Role Responsibilities:
The Project Scheduler will work closely with project managers, engineers, and planning teams to:
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
- Develop and manage baselines, logic ties, resource loading, and work breakdown structures
- Update project status based on input from technical leads and field personnel
- Perform critical path and schedule risk analysis to identify impacts and opportunities
- Track progress against milestones and provide reporting on schedule performance
- Support Earned Value Management by integrating schedule and cost data
- Assist with resource forecasting and coordination across multiple work streams
- Generate clear reporting deliverables including Gantt charts and look-ahead schedules
- Participate in schedule review meetings and support decision-making with accurate data
- Ensure compliance with LANL scheduling standards and project controls procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in scheduling or project controls
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 in active project environments
- Strong understanding of schedule logic, dependencies, and progress tracking
- Experience with DOE, DOD, or similar regulated environments preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and standard reporting tools
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Prior military or nuclear industry experience is a plus, especially U.S. Navy backgrounds
Assignment Details:
- Full-time on-site position based in Los Alamos, NM
- Relocation support available for qualified candidates
- Per diem provided during the first 90 days in accordance with LANL-adjusted GSA rates
- Reimbursement for one trip home every 4 weeks after the initial 90 days
- 1-year minimum contract with strong potential for multi-year extension
