Description

We are currently searching for a PA and or APRN  to join our team for Addiction Medicine.

The Mid-level (NP or PA-C) collaborates with the Medical Director, pharmacists and nursing staff to facilitate admission, treatment, and successful discharge of patients with substance use disorders. Under the direction and supervision of the Medical Director, the mid level (NP/PA-C) performs medical assessment of patients and prescribes or adjusts medications as indicated. Evaluation, management, and prescribing services are rendered on-site.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Review patients’ medical histories

· Conduct physical exams to check patient’s health

· Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as urine drug screens or blood tests, as required

· Assess and diagnose patients

· Medication Administration

· Give brief treatment, education, and counseling regarding diagnosed/concerns to patients

· Prescribe medications as needed

· Record patient progress and treatment utilizing agency EMR system

· Provides direction and support to nursing and clinical staff regarding diagnostic and medication management of clients

· Follows medical protocols established by the Medical Director including admission, treatment, and discharge standards in accordance with agency policy and procedure.

· Performs any related duties as required and assigned by the Medical

· Master's (Preferred)

License/Certification:

· Certified Nurse Practitioner/PA-C(Required)
