SUMMARY:
Performs duties as necessary to assist the Facility Maintenance Department to maintain the buildings and facilities of the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel and related properties. The Facility Maintenance Technician will work closely with the staff and administration of the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to the CCRH facilities.
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical and paint repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness of the general shop area and equipment that is utilized in the various sections of the maintenance department.
- Retrieve and deliver needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Perform periodic grounds maintenance including operating power yard equipment, handling snow, and taking measures to reduce hazards of ice.
- Keep sidewalks, parking lots and landscaping clean, by removing litter, and dumping outside garbage cans.
- Account for tools, equipment, and supplies checked in or out to Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel personnel.
- Attend pertinent workshops and training sessions.
- Attend all departmental team meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and provide evidence of a good driving record.
- Two years’ verifiable work history in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, flooring, painting & drywall and cement masons.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others.
- Knowledge of operation of power equipment, hand tools, and related safety equipment required.
- Possess demonstrated initiative, flexibility, organization skills, and dependability in performance of duties.
- Knowledge and abilities necessary to assist in facility repairs, including plumbing fixtures, independently preferred.
- Must have a positive and productive attitude.
