Description
The Loan Documentation Specialist will orchestrate the closing process for all members of the Relationship Team. The closing process entails providing assistance by completing, collecting, and analyzing documents necessary for the extension of credit. Responsible for in-house loan request preparation of all new and renewal loan closing documents utilizing LaserPro, booking the loan, funding the loan and resolving documentation exceptions post-closing, and interacting with bank associates.

- Drafts and reviews loan documentation for all in-house loan requests
- Ensures the loan is closed per loan approval and that supporting documentation conforms to loan approval and policy
- Identifies potential issues related to documentation, policy, or regulatory requirements and remediates prior to closing
- Addresses loan setup issues promptly to ensure system data integrity
- Balancing loan disbursements/proceeds, verifies and posts details of funds received and disbursed and enters new loans on the servicing system
- Assist loan officers with answering questions and obtaining documentation, etc. to ensure timely processing of loans
- Works directly with Lender’s, affiliates, and other departments to solve problems, answers questions and provide superior customer service
- Ensure all procedures adhere to company policies and government regulations.
- Review all terms and conditions of loan documentation.
- Crosstrain on other department positions in the office by providing backup to other positions as the workload demands. Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum Experience: 1 year.
- Preferred Experience: 2 years, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
