Lead Ionic Developer (Angular and React) (Hybrid)
The Role:
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Ionic Developer (Angular and React) to serve our diverse base of global clients. Location: Washington, DC. (Hybrid position)
Work Authorization Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using Angular JS and JavaScript.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Front End (Web and Mobile) - Angular & ReactJS, Ionic framework expert (Full stack knowledge is a plus)
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive. Work closely with product managers and designers to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
- Ensure all development work is thoroughly tested and meets quality standards.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide regular updates on project status and progress.
Qualifications
- 8 to 11 years of experience
- Must have strong experience in Angular JS and JavaScript.
- Should have a solid understanding of web development principles and best practices.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Should have experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Nice to have experience in Investment Banking Operations or Investment Banking & Brokerage.
- Should have strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be able to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
- Should have a proactive attitude and be able to work independently.
- Must have a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Should have experience with agile development methodologies.
- Nice to have experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,377 - $163,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
