What You Need To Have To Be Considered

• Experience in backend reactive programming languages: Java 8 and/or Kotlin.
• Proven track record developing lightweight reactive microservices: Vert.x Quarkus Micronaut or Spring Boot.
• Experience with PostgreSQL Oracle or equivalent relational databases.
• Experience in backend reactive programming languages: Java 8 and/or Kotlin.
• Proven track record developing lightweight reactive microservices: Vert.x Quarkus Micronaut or Spring Boot.
• Deep understanding of event driven architecture and messaging: Kafka webhooks asynchronous API design.
• Experience with PostgreSQL Oracle or equivalent relational databases.
• Have experience working as an individual contributor as part of a cross functional agile team. Experience in FinTech is a massive plus.
• Have proven experience in supporting mission critical platforms with high levels of availability and service continuity.
• Have solid experience in cloud-based architecture and distributed systems.
• Have exceptional written and communication skills and can express dissenting opinions constructively.
• Self-directed and able to work in an ambiguous environment through the innovation process.
• Care about learning and being open minded about switching approaches and experimenting.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software solutions using Java Spring Boot and Spring MVC to meet project requirements and enhance system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and implement scalable applications that align with business objectives.
• Utilize SQL and MySQL to manage and optimize database systems ensuring data integrity and efficient data retrieval.
• Implement front-end functionalities using JavaScript to create responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and deliverables.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept and design to testing and deployment.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
• Ensure software solutions are secure, scalable and maintainable, contributing to long-term project success.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
• Optimize application performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing effective solutions.
• Document software designs processes and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and project continuity.
  
  

Certifications Required

Oracle Certified Professional Java SE Programmer MySQL Database Administrator Certification.

Salary And Compensation

The annual salary for this position will be between $68,442 to $114,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
