Job Title Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description:
• Duties: Provides support and basic trouble shooting for current operations. Investigates, gathers and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks.
• Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope.
• Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.
• Works with electronic tools to perform engineering functions. Develops and implements plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing through the client’s Production System.
• Designs operations layouts to improve material flow and material presentation.
• Participates in team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency. Implements new manufacturing processes and technology.
• Modifies existing performance pay plans; assists in development of baseline data for new wage performance pay plans.
• Provide production support to assembly line departments in both routine and special safety/quality/productivity projects and actions.
Qualifications
• This is a 1st shift position, typically 7 am - 3:30 pm but some OT is required and starts and end times will need to be flexible.
• Prefer 1 year in Assembly Manufacturing Engineering and SHOP FLOOR experience.
• Candidate should be familiar with assembly, tools, processes and systems (previous exposure to client is a plus).
• Candidate must have daily support to line operations/shop floor experience.
• Ability to interact with wage operators as well as other salaried workers is required.
• Real world, industrial shop floor experience is necessary for this position, the education requirement for
• BS in engineering is preferred but secondary to the need for on the job experience.
