What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Collabera?
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle financial reporting (quarterly = ~2 weeks, annual = ~5 weeks)
- Write and review technical accounting memos (leases, rev rec, etc.)
- Manage audit and reporting timelines
- Handle acquisition and purchase accounting (wires, debt compliance, ERP training)
- Support one-off initiatives and cleanup tasks outside of close periods
- Track and manage debt facilities and foreign currency implications
- Work cross-functionally on technical policy rollouts
Must-Haves:
- 1–3 years recent experience in a Senior Accountant position
- Strong external reporting experience in fast-paced environments
- Experience writing technical accounting memos
- Experience with SEC reporting directly
Nice-to-Haves / Differentiators:
- Experience establishing reporting functions from scratch
- (e.g., joining during IPO prep or company going public)
- High-pressure reporting scenarios:
- – audit firm collapse
- – intense deadlines
- – rapid close turnarounds
- Track record of thinking on their feet and solving issues independently
- Can handle reporting work without a large team or deep SOPs
