Who you are
As the Assistant Project Manager, you have experience working in a professional services environment and now, you're ready to learn and do more. You're interested in building your career in project support. You take a positive approach to your work and enjoy learning and contributing new ideas and solutions. You're good at building strong relationships with your clients and managing their expectations. You have a keen eye for detail, have superior organizational skills and can prioritize competing tasks and deadlines.
What you bring
- Minimum 1 - 2 years' industry experience in administration supporting roles or a member of a project delivery team.
- Working familiarity with proposal writing, analytical reviews, estimating and interiors.
- General understanding of construction drawings.
- Ability to self-start and work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint. Sharepoint and Outlook).
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Bonus skills and experience
- Previous exposure to construction, architecture or engineering projects.
What success looks like
- You are responsible for senior level administration tasks to support the direction and strategy of the team.
- Strong communication skills with both internal staff members, external clients and vendors with a proven ability to multi-task.
- You handle work orders, process invoices for equipment and facilities, author meeting agendas and minutes, and assist with reimbursement requests.
- Fill in as moderator on project calls as needed.
- You are successfully able to prioritize your time and work on changing priorities while maintaining a professional attitude and calm demeanor.
- Skills and ability to manage minor modification/renovation type projects.
