Real Estate Loan Officer - Cedar Rapids

Collins Community Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Loan Officer to join our team in Cedar Rapids!!

This person will be a competitive, independent, "doer" who can problem solve and get things done through people. In this role, you will promote and provide credit union products and services to new and existing members with referrals to appropriate departments when necessary. This position is responsible for originating first mortgages while working effectively with a team of employees and is responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members.

Must Be Available To Work During Business Hours

• Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00 pm
• Friday 8:00am - 5:30 pm
• Flextime as needed to originate business.
• Responsibilities:**
• Review and analyze loan applications, credit reports, and financial documents.
• Evaluate loan eligibility and make recommendations based on documentation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, home builders, and other professionals in the industry.
• Ensure compliance with lending regulations and guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process.
• Develops and maintains successful relationships with business referral sources, existing and prospective Credit Union members.
• Originates secondary market and in-house mortgage loans.
• Ensures exceptional member experience by overseeing loan process from origination to close and providing on-going communication to customers and business partners.
• Meet or exceed established individual sales and service goals.
• Must possess effective knowledge of the Credit Union’s products, loan policies and services.
• Provides complete loan application and loan documentation to processing team.
• Communicates with members as necessary by phone, email and in person during various stages of the loan process.
• Loan decisions- approve or deny based on using their judgment according to the Fannie Mae, VA or in-house guidelines.

Qualified candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills, be detail oriented and reliable, be able to multi-task, and have a positive attitude! A minimum of 3 years experience originating or working in a Real Estate type environment is preferred. Must have an active NMLS and notary.
