Job Title: Protein Procurement Analyst II
Reports to: Director of Protein Procurement
Summary: The entry-level Procurement Specialist supports Procurement operations with scheduling, tracking material deliveries, and maintaining supplier performance records. This role involves monitoring purchase orders, communicating with vendors, and using ERP/MRP systems and spreadsheets to manage data. The specialist works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely material readiness and may assist with strategic purchases as experience grows. Over time, the position provides an opportunity to gain experience supporting strategic procurement activities and serving as a backup to senior purchasing leadership. Ideal for recent graduates or those with relevant coursework or internship experience, this position offers a strong foundation in supply chain and procurement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and maintenance of procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Monitor purchase orders and supplier lead times, updating schedules as needed based on changes in demand, availability, or production requirements.
Communicate with vendors and internal departments to confirm delivery dates and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays.
Support procurement and production teams by tracking and reporting on material status and delivery performance.
Help maintain accurate records of supplier performance, procurement milestones, and materials inventory.
The ability to learn and use ERP/MRP systems and spreadsheets to input and manage scheduling data.
Escalate potential supply issues and delays to Procurement or Supply Chain leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Production, Logistics, Quality) to align material
readiness with operational goals.
Education/Experience:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Ag Business, Management, or a related field preferred or 2- 4 relevant work experience working in a Supply Chain role
Internship or coursework in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or planning a plus.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clear and professional communication, both verbal and written
Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).
Proven ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Working Conditions
Office-based with potential exposure to warehouse or production floor.
Standard working hours with occasional need for flexibility during critical scheduling periods.
This is an onsite position based at our Corporate Headquarters in Greeley, CO, with potential for hybrid work arrangement over time.
Applicants must already live in Colorado or be willing to relocated on their own. No Relocation assistance will be provided for this role.

This position also participates in vacation and sick leave pay programs. The salary range for this position is $75,240 to $91,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. This position is bonus eligible, however, anyone who commences employment after the beginning of the bonus plan period is eligible for a prorated portion of any bonus deemed earned and payable if he or she is hired and active prior to 180 days before the bonus plan period ends.
