Description
We are looking for CMM Programmer with expertise in CMM Programming. This role involves developing, optimizing, and supporting CMM programs, focusing on inspection, documentation and software control.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Write programs to eliminate need for elaborate set-ups for operator usability.
- Reduce usage of functional gaging through increased programming.
- Train personnel in use of CMM machines, programs and inspection methods.
- Review ECO’s to ensure inspection methods in use correlate to latest op sheet requirements.
- Develop inspection methods, acceptance criteria, and create inspection plans to assure quality requirements are met.
- Reviews inspection results and determines suitability of material for use.
- Issues and maintains corrective action responses, internal or external and follows-up to assure effectiveness.
- Supports Production in areas such as: test support, quality investigations and supplier issues.
- Investigate technological enhancements to promote improvements.
- Streamline and improve quality systems and procedures and focus on developing the “Quality System.”
- When required, coordinate department personnel activities in quality Manager’s absence.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Specialized Knowledge
- Four years of college (technical preferred). Bachelor of Science.
- Certified Quality Engineer/Auditor Preferred (ASQC).
- Job-related work experience and technical training on CMM programming. Related work experience considered in lieu of education.
- Experience in all aspects of quality assurance practices.
- Strong background in Quality Systems ISO requirements, Blueprint reading IAW ANSI y14.5.
- Strong knowledge in specialized areas including CMM programming, SPC, Metrology, auditing, and supplier management required.
- Familiarity with PCDIMIS language.
