Kentucky Department of Parks is looking for an Licensed Engineer, Architect, Landscape Architect or Certified Interior Designer to join its Facilities Management Planning & Design Team as the Branch Manager! Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises the work of design and planning staff in the execution of design and construction projects.
- Oversees the activity of professional and technical contractors for planned projects.
- Administers design phase, schedules, construction estimates, and project status reports from design and planning staff.
- Establishes and reviews funding requests for project budgets.
- Provides scope, budget, and schedule control over projects.
- Administers the design and construction of special projects.
- Creates and reviews design documentation for those assigned projects and completes assigned investigative studies.
- Provides technical assistance to the division during the planning, design, and construction process of planned projects.
- Assists with the creation, interpretation, enforcement, and dissemination of division standards and policies.

EDUCATION: See Special Requirements.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of experience above that required for licensure.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be licensed as a professional architect by the Kentucky Board of Architects

must be registered as a professional landscape architect by the Kentucky Board of Landscape Architects
OR
must be certified as a Certified Interior Designer by the Kentucky Board of Architects Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.

Working Conditions
Work typically is in an office setting and at construction sites. Work at construction sites may involve exposure to conditions common to construction sites, such as dirty and dusty environments, asbestos, dynamite, and noise, which may require the following of safety procedures. Extensive travel is generally required.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
