Description
The Office of the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council Support (OKLECS) under the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Testing Services section. Testing Services provides mandated testing for law enforcement training candidates across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. This position will be based in Richmond, Kentucky on the Department of Criminal Justice Training complex.
The ideal Program Coordinator should be energetic, dependable, a self-starter, and hard-working. This position will provide professional support to the section’s team of Polygraph Examiners professionals. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
- Assists in providing polygraph testing services for local and state law enforcement agencies upon completion of an accredited polygraph school to obtaining official licensing.
- Travels to locations throughout the state to conduct other phases of the OKLECS testing services that include the administration of physical fitness test batteries, suitability screeners, and urine drug screen collection.
- Composes reports and performs polygraph quality control review to provide official documentation and results to law enforcement agencies.
- Interprets, applies, and analyzes Kentucky Law Enforcement Council (KLEC) laws, policies, and regulations for the law enforcement community, as well as the public to enhance understanding and compliance.
- Maintains required certification and continuing education in the specialties related to the Peace Officer, Telecommunicator, and Certified Court Security Officer Professional Standards Acts.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional experience in management or administration.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Administrative or business experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
