DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating the review, analysis, and application of contract and grant documents involving multi-million dollar amounts that service thousands of individuals throughout the commonwealth. You will provide a broad spectrum of analytical and consultative procurement development, process, and management functions for program offices during proposal and contract development (which includes IT, IT related, and other highly complex and highly politicized contract and grant document creation and finalization) by advising on the development of statements of work, pricing methodologies, performance measures, and proposal evaluation criteria.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. The telework schedule is 3 days a week in the office for the first four weeks and after successful completion, one day a week in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Paid parking!
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Procurement Specialist 2 (commonwealth title); or
  • Two years of professional experience performing contract management work; and a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, project, or operations management, or a related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
