DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a County Fiscal Officer 2, you will be responsible for supervising and training agency fiscal staff, as well as reviewing and monitoring daily tasks and assigned projects. Within this role, you will prepare the agency's state budget for CYS and Juvenile Probation expenditures and revenues, in addition to preparing the county budget and all related fiscal and revenue reports required by the County Commissioners and County Controller. This professional assembles the agency budget by reviewing previous expenditures, analyzing program changes, and projecting estimated costs based on funding requirements. You will oversee all grants obtained by the agency, ensuring regulations governing each are followed, and prepare all financial reports for submission to the state offices. A comprehensive knowledge of all federal and state regulations governing the various funding streams is essential for this position.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a County Fiscal Officer 1; or
- Four years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associate’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- Two years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Cambria County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cambria County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.

- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
