Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor

As a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor, you will be tasked with supervising a construction inspection team and performing various technical duties related to transportation construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed according to approved plans, standards, and specifications. Work includes overseeing inspection of materials and workmanship as well as providing instructions on sampling, testing, and inspection techniques to contractors and subordinates. You will have the opportunity to act as the inspector-in-charge, where you will be involved in verifying cut and fill, checking elevation grades, and supervising the inspection and placement of materials.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Transportation Construction Inspector; or
• Two years of construction inspection experience and an associate’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training. 

Conditions of Employment:

• This position requires possession of a valid non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver’s License or equivalent.
