Description
The Head Start Support Specialist has the responsibility for assisting Head Start direct managed and partnering agencies with meeting the required screenings, assessments, and other criteria as outlined in the Head Start Program Performance Standards, NAEYC, the state Quality Rating System, state, federal, and local guidelines. This position is also responsible for data management and analysis tasks, including data entry and tracking, interpreting data and making data informed recommendations to the Office of Child Development. The position must aggregate, analyze and present data gathered from multiple sources and have the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing to produce high quality written products and presentations.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in business administration or business related degree is required.
- Early childhood education, child development, or other related field with experience in data collection and analysis.
- Must pass a computerized Microsoft Word test.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work as part of a team, leadership ability, budget management, and data aggregation, and interpretation.
- Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards, licensing regulations and NAEYC accreditation.
- Knowledge of computerized management information systems.
