What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Advocate position at Community Action of Southern Kentucky?
Full-time position within our Children’s Services Program in Barren County. Duties include providing comprehensive social services to Head Start children and their families. Examples of duties include: making home visits, recruiting children for the program, scheduling required health services and transporting children and families to needed services.
Minimum qualification for this position is a high school diploma and a credential in Family Services within 18 months of hire. Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Social Services preferred. Associate Degree with experience working with families preferred. A valid Kentucky Driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Good record keeping and communication skills a must. This position requires a pre-employment drug screen.
Salary range for this position is $13.34-$16.95/hour, with an excellent benefit package.
