**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team and provide essential support to our dental practice. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist, maintain a clean and organized operatory, handle dental equipment, and interact professionally with patients from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist the dentist chairside utilizing the principles of four-handed dentistry.
- Seat and dismiss patients, ensuring cleanliness in the operatory and dental laboratory using approved disinfectants.
- Maintain dental equipment according to the manufacturer's guidelines.
- Clean and sterilize dental instruments, take and process radiographs.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies.
- Perform clerical tasks including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and utilizing computerized patient information systems.
- Provide professional and supportive interactions with patients.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma.
- Previous experience in a dental office.
- Capable of performing physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
**Additional Qualifications Preferred:**
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (e.g., NYS Registered Dental Assistant).
**Compensation:**
- Hourly rate: $18.10 - $21.64 for Certified Dental Assistants.
- Hourly rate: $17.10 - $20.64 for candidates without certification.
