What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Companion position at Community Healthcare System?

A Patient Companion facilitates the provision of close patient monitoring and surveillance for a patient who is classified as actively a danger to self and/or others. A Patient Companion performs specific tasks and functions as delegated by the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse and according to established practices and procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :

  • Completion of high school level course work preferred
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform required competencies (skills) prior to providing observation
  • Adult Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Employment Type: Part-time (Non-Benefit Eligible) Shift: Days/Evenings/Nights Hours: 8
