KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Lead Services: Oversee day-to-day program activities and ensure overall quality of person-centered services. Work individually with program participants and staff to craft meaningful goals, schedules, and teaching strategies. Communicate effectively with participants, families, representatives from funding agencies, and other service providers. Push your case management skills as you navigate different resources and approaches to support a diverse population.
Lead People: Provide direct supervision to up to 15 staff members. Provide ongoing scheduling, training, and support, set clear expectations, evaluate staff performance, coach, and provide feedback.
Direct Service: Provide hands-on direct service, as needed, including personal care. Fill in evenings and weekends as needed to relieve direct service staff members. Work on-call on a rotating basis to handle participant/staff emergencies. Report individual progress through regular written reports and attend participant planning team meetings.
COMPENSATION AND WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) non-exempt position with a starting pay rate of $25.00 per hour. In addition to that, Community Interface Services offers a Career Jumpstart program that will involve in-depth coordinator and services training. This Career Jumpstart will lead to a $1 increase after the first six months! This social services position will be primarily based out of our Kearney Mesa office; however, Community Interface Services serves participants all throughout San Diego County. QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates must have at least three years of experience in a human services delivery system, with at least one year experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, or a bachelor's degree in a human services field to be considered for this position; a bachelor's degree and leadership experience are strongly preferred.
- Ability to provide staff training, supervision, and planning
- High level of trustworthiness and integrity
- A solid work history and references that can attest to your dependability and reliability
- Flexibility, a positive attitude, team-oriented approach, good judgement and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A vehicle, CA Driver's license, vehicle insurance, and satisfactory driving record
