What the position is:
The Internal Evaluation Program Manager maintains the internal audit and evaluation schedule to oversee all Company departments. The IEP Manager ensures that adequate self-audits and quality audits are performed, that root causes of issues are determined, that appropriate corrective actions are implemented, that follow-up occurs to ensure effectiveness, and that the Company follows industry best practices and remains in compliance with FAA, IOSA and DOD requirements.
Essential Functions:
The Internal Evaluation Program Manager is responsible for the quality and day-to-day management of the Internal Evaluation Program, a formal program for evaluating the effectiveness of Company programs, policies, and procedures. Duties and responsibilities include:
Preparing an annual risk-based comprehensive evaluation plan
Coordinating and scheduling IEP audits, special audits, and evaluations
Evaluating quality assurance and self-auditing programs for all company departments
Selecting and training individuals to serve as internal auditors
Determining qualification and training requirements for internal auditors
Assessing the Company's compliance with regulations and conformance to Company policies through audits and evaluations
Focusing on a resolution of identified deficiencies through root cause analysis and effective corrective actions
Monitoring trends in findings to identify systemic issues
Ensuring the Company's readiness for external audits and evaluations
Management of external audits (SAS, DOD, and IOSA)
Assisting departments in determining appropriate corrective actions for external audit findings
Maintaining the IEP database and trending programs
Reporting audit and evaluation results to senior management
Responsibility for the overall performance of the Internal Evaluation Program
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Safety
General requirements & qualifications:
Aviation or industrial auditing experience and/or education required
Knowledge and understanding of FAA rules and regulatory framework and processes preferred
Knowledge and understanding of IATA and DOD requirements preferred
Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Advanced ability to collect and analyze data and to report the results of statistical analysis
Good organizational and project management skills
High level of attention to detail
