Description
The Project Analyst will perform a variety of formal tasks to include but not limited to managing and coordinate all aspects of scheduling, technical progress and fiscal tracking for our customer projects. They will apply analytical techniques in the evaluation of the program/project objectives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collects, organizes, and interprets data relating to the program/project.
- Prepare financial reports with reliable conclusions that customers can use to implement more effective operational strategies.
- Provide Project Status Reports (PSR) to the customer as needed.
- Perform financial monitoring and reporting of projects to include material and labor tracking, comparing project budgets to actual cost incurred.
- Assist in the preparation of estimates for labor, travel, materials, subcontracts and vendor inputs for quoting and proposal submission
- Supports the customer in any applicable meetings attended by the customers.
- Maintains records on correspondence and action documents and follows up on action items to ensure timely responses.
- Knowledge of the formats, forms, and usual terminology of the organization.
- Knowledge to perform such tasks as assembling information to be used for reports or responses to inquiries, to compose correspondence requiring a technical knowledge, and to maintain awareness of clerical and administrative problems related to the organization.
Other Job Functions:
Coordinates, and/or participates in meetings to discuss engineering issues, problems, and deficiency resolution planning.
Requirements
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma and additional years of experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Strong Analytical skills required to examine and analyze systems and processes
- Ability to execute projects with little to no guidance
- Experience in analyzing project status and documentation to support said project
- Must have strong Writing, Reporting, Scheduling, Time Management, Organizational, and Presentation Skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Advanced Excel a plus).
- High degree of attentiveness to accuracy and detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
- Team player, customer-service oriented
Physical Requirements:
The work is mostly sedentary involving frequent telephone communication and preparation of written correspondence. There is an expectation to work within short timeframes to meet technical deadlines and goals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit, stand, walk, see, hear, and feel. Occasionally will need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Must be able to interpret data, information, and documents. Can learn and apply new information and/or skills.
