Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in downtown Tacoma, WA.

Function: Responsible for providing accounting, finance, fiscal administrative analysis, and support for the agency Finance Department. Serves as a member of the organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.
Responsibilities:
- Compile and prepare backup for agency’s billing, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Properly prepare and enter invoices and other adjusting entries into the accounting system.
- Assist and prepare agency filings.
- Review Cash Receipts and Bank Deposits - Assist in reconciling bank statements.
- Assist in designing, developing, preparing, implementing and managing required financial reports and accounting systems to facilitate accounting functions.
- Compile information, create and maintain reports required by management, Board of Directors, funding sources and auditors.
- Coordinate with HR in the bi-weekly preparation of Payroll. Assist Controller/Revenue Cycle Manager in processing/maintaining retirement plan, 403(b) contributions and loans.
- Assist in preparation of monthly general ledger accounts reconciliation.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the general ledger.
- Perform special projects and /or assignments as directed by Controller/Revenue Cycle Manager/CFO.
- Coordinate with other staff as needed to facilitate accounting functions.
- Coordinate with admin and program departments on supply logistics, purchasing, and tracking subsidy funds.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
- Must be proficient in MS office, database management, and electronic payroll management.
- Must be proficient in Excel and be able to create and utilize spreadsheets.
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
