Location: 100% On-site in Columbia, SC | Monday Friday

Position Overview: A full-time opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead and support agile development teams within a collaborative environment. This role focuses on facilitating Scrum ceremonies, promoting agile best practices, and ensuring teams deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:

• Facilitate all core Scrum activities, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Ensure adherence to Scrum framework and agile principles.

• Identify and remove impediments that hinder team productivity.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback loops.

• Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly with stakeholders.

• Monitor agile KPIs and help teams stay aligned with project goals and timelines.

• Collaborate closely with product owners, development teams, and other stakeholders to maintain alignment on project priorities and scope.

• Act as a mentor and coach to team members in agile practices and delivery excellence.

Project Scope: This position supports a large-scale, cross-functional initiative requiring agile project delivery. The role will coordinate efforts across multiple teams, ensuring agile ceremonies are effectively executed and that delivery remains focused and timely. The Scrum Master will also assist in integrating agile and traditional (waterfall) project management methods as needed.

Required Skills (Ranked by Importance):

• 3 years of professional experience as a Scrum Master

• 3 years of experience with Azure DevOps

• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum principles and frameworks

• Proven ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies and coach teams in agile delivery

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Experience with agile project management tools

• Ability to integrate hybrid project methodologies (Agile Waterfall)

• General conceptual understanding of programming and database querying

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master [CSM] or Professional Scrum Master [PSM])

• Familiarity with ERP systems

• Previous experience in government or public sector environments

• Broader knowledge of software development practices and database fundamentals

Required Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor s Degree

• Agile certifications such as CSM or PSM
