🚀 Senior Cisco Voice Engineer (Remote)
Location: Remote (occasional travel to Richmond, VA or installation sites)
Duration: 06 Months Contract Possibility of Extension or Conversion
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
📌 Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Cisco Voice Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and management of our enterprise voice communication infrastructure. This includes working on Cisco Unified Communications systems, VoIP protocols, and advanced collaboration tools.
You will take technical ownership of architecture, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization of Cisco voice and telephony systems across a multi-site enterprise environment.
✅ Mandatory Requirements:
- 10 years of hands-on experience in Cisco voice/network environments
- 3–5 years as a lead or senior voice engineer
- Expertise with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity, Contact Center, Webex DI
- Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols: SIP, H.323, MGCP
- Familiarity with Cisco Voice Gateways, routers, trunk configuration (SIP, PRI)
- Cisco Certifications (CCNP Collaboration or higher preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and system performance tuning skills
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent practical experience
🔧 Primary Responsibilities:
- Architect and configure Cisco UC environments: CUCM, Unity, Webex DI, Contact Center
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco IP phones, softphones, voice routers, gateways
- Perform integrations with Active Directory, SIP trunking, and third-party apps
- Lead troubleshooting for complex voice call issues and hardware/software performance
- Collaborate with network teams to ensure voice system reliability and integration
- Document voice architecture, configurations, and system standards
⭐ Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Cisco Webex DI (Dedicated Instance) environments
- Familiarity with cloud-based voice deployments and hybrid UC environments
- Scripting/automation experience (a plus)
- Experience with Avaya PBX environments (helpful but not required)
Salary : $65 - $71
