PRIMARY JOB DUTIES of Credentialing Coordinator:
The Essential Job Functions of Credentialing Coordinator are:
- Responsible for leading, monitoring, and maintaining the credentialing and recredentialing process within timeframe.
- Must be fast - respond to emails, calls, and texts like lightening!
- Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing database.
- Verify prospective providers have required experience, education, credentials, and certifications for the job.
- Protect information pertaining to a provider’s work history and personal medical information
- Prepare provider file for completion and presentation to clients and upload into system
- Responsible ensure MSO (Medical Staff Offices), credentialing database is updated and current
- Ensure primary source verifications occur for internal processing as well as external customers (i.e. MSO’s & State Boards)
- Provide timely follow-up to obtain documentation required
- Any other duties needed to help drive to our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our values
Qualifications & Certifications of Credentialing Coordinator:
- Maintains positive working relationships with providers, clients, management, and co-workers
- Must be detail oriented and organized
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 or more years of related work experience
- CPCS Certification preferred, but not required
Pay commensurate with experience.
This position is located in our Lubbock, TX office
