EssentialDuties &Responsibilities :

• Readinstructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amountof worknecessary.
• Preparewalls and other surfaces for painting by scraping using sandpaperremoving old paintetc.
• Masksremoves covers or otherwise protects hardware trim and othernonpaintedsurfaces.
• Appliespaint to interior and exterior surfaces using sprayers and othertools.
• Fillcracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g.plaster).
• Mixpaint and other materials to prepare the right color ortexture.
• Paintsurfaces according to instructions with varioustools.
• Applyvarnish and otherfinishes.

Requirements

• Provenexperience as a painter with great attention todetail.
• Excellentknowledge of painting materials and how to select mix and applythem
• Ableto stand reach bend and stoop for prolonged periods of time haveadequate balance and ability to climbladders.
• Mustbe able to lift up to 40 pounds attimes.
• Solidknowledge of commercial and / or construction paintingtechniques
• Aptitudein using appropriate tools (brushes caulking gunsetc.)
• Goodbasic mathskills
• Mustbe able to distinguish amongcolors
• Highschool diploma; successful completion of anapprenticeship

PhysicalDemands :

Regularlyrequired to stand; use hands to handle or feel objects tools orcontrols; and reach with hands andarms.

Frequentlyit is required towalk.

Occasionallyrequired to stand climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl. Theemployee is required to sit and talk andhear.
