Working with hypersonic attack cruise missiles, ramjets and warheads
1. PRIMARY FUNCTION: With minimal direction from engineering, select materials, program/operate process equipment and develop techniques/process using materials such as but not limited to adhesives, metals and components used in the ACF product cell.
2. WORKING PROCEDURE AND/OR RESPONSIBILITY ASSIGNED:
Perform all duties of lower classified ceramic material and process specialist.
Train/guide other ceramic material and process specialists and EMS personnel.
Identify materials to support the production builds of ceramic and ferrite assemblies.
Build prototype and experimental builds for customer and engineering review.
Using internal and external documentation, set-up and run a variety of instruments to evaluate materials to make physical and electronic measurements.
Assist in the evaluation of new processes and equipment.
Training and support of EMS in the performance of production hardware builds to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Program set-up and run a variety of automatic and manual equipment with little or no guidance.
Troubleshoot problems occurring in various materials, equipment, and processes. Maintain equipment as required and support repair and upgrade activities.
Collect, record, test and analyze results data. Make necessary engineering calculations involving the use of algebraic and trigonometric functions. Prepare drafts and written reports of processes and SPC projects as required.
Program, set-up and run a variety of advanced automatic/manual manufacturing and special research equipment under limited instruction and guidance of engineers and/or high classified technicians.
Successfully complete all required training courses
3 EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High school graduate or equivalent. Must possess a minimum of 30 college credits with a minimum of nine (9) college credits in a laboratory science such as chemistry, physics, computer science or a related field
4 EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a ceramic material and process specialist
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $35.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 60 per week
