Working with hypersonic attack cruise missiles, ramjets, warheads
Assemble, build and mark a variety of sub-assemblies, assemblies and electrical and mechanical systems. Perform continuity and visual checks as required. Set up and perform automatic and/or manual test, circuit check and troubleshoot with information provided, various components, sub-assemblies and systems. Properly document and specify corrective action.
Assist in the set up of work areas and set up and operate various pieces of automated equipment to manufacture and mark electrical and mechanical hardware per job specifications and arrange material and supplies for ease of assembly and manufacture.
Move work in-process and equipment which do not require the use of a motorized piece of vehicular equipment, taking into consideration safety rules and regulations.
Operate data entry equipment, such as computers and calculators, to record and store all information from data transactions accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
Set up and operate a variety of automatic and manual component preparation equipment. Perform engineering changes and make associated disassembly, setup, adjustment, and alignment of equipment. Perform all types of component preparation duties including plated through-hole as well as planar mounted component preparation. Receive, store and issue various materials and tools and maintain necessary records.
Perform evaluation to identify any defect/non-compliance and take the necessary corrective actions to ensure and maintain compliance with quality assurance requirements.
Monitor the manufacturing processes using process control techniques, such as Statistical Process Control, periodic diagnostics test etc., in order to identify any trends and make required improvements.
Assist engineers, support personnel and teams in developing new processes and new materials, e.g. new epoxy pastes, alternate solder materials, cleaning processes, etc., and their effect on the hardware and equipment.
Prepare/package assemblies, components, and the like, for storage or delivery to the manufacturing area or the customer as required.
Successfully complete required company sponsored courses.
Assemble and build pre-production and production electrical and mechanical hardware for electrical and mechanical systems, assemblies, and sub-assemblies, performing such operations as required.
Perform in-systems and bench rework, repairs and modifications from complete and preliminary information removing and reassembling sub-assemblies, components, and materials as necessary to replace non-conforming parts/defective work.
Wire unit, point-to-point, determining all wire lengths, making unsoldered connections and tie wires into cable forms.
Plan the layout and number of leads and sub-cables considering such factors as location and clearance of electrical and mechanical components, accessibility of components, assembly requirements of cable harness and routing through holes in chassis.
Determine and make necessary cable breakdowns and layout form boards from cable routings and make termination and tie points. Make or have made first cable on board to check wire lengths and sequence information.
Maintain equipment and work area in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
4. DEVELOPER/MODEL MAKER (Inductive Components) WORKING PROCEDURES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all duties of lower classified personnel.
Successfully complete the Developer examination and maintain all required certifications.
Prepare work instructions for hardware or software operations, using various tools, such as, computers, condensed lists of hardware assembly and cable development instructions. Input results of developmental processes into a data system.
Modify electronic work instructions.
Plan, perform and develop all assembly and wire operations to produce complex electro and/or mechanical models and prototypes and inductive components complete.
Coordinate the various operations necessary to produce the model complete.

Pay: $37.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 60 per week
