What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse, Float Pool position at confidential?
As a Registered Nurse in our Float Pool, you will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. This ensures quality care is delivered throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly and effectively communicate with the House Supervisor for assignments to perform duties and responsibilities to meet the needs of the facility.
- Provide expert-level care in a variety of settings as a member of the specialty staffing team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Documents patient care given and monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
Requirements:
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Current RN license to practice in the state of AR.
- BCLS, ACLS & PALS certifications within 6 months of hire.
This role requires adaptability, flexibility, and a desire to serve as a resource in various settings.
