What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Jockey position at Confidential?
We are searching for a skilled yard hostler to help position our containers within the yard. The yard hostler should unveil appropriate equipment placements, steer vehicles and containers to identified spots, and then sanitize pertinent equipment.
No CDL Required Previous experience to yard jockey required.
Shift: Sun-Thurs 11pm-7am
Yard Hostler Responsibilities:
- Discerning suitable vehicle and container placements.
- Maneuvering vehicles and containers between areas of our facility.
- Assisting other Yard Hostlers by directing their vehicular movements, if needed.
- Cleaning and refueling designated vehicles.
- Sanitizing containers before and after every shipment.
- Inspecting vehicles to discern potential maintenance needs.
- Tending to or reporting on maintenance requirements.
- Stowing equipment away after their use.
- Maintaining orderliness, communication, and safety in the yard.
- Load and unload trailers
- Put away
