What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Associate - Foot & Ankle position at CONMED Corporation?
CONMED is seeking a Marketing Associate to support our Marketing & Events team, support our Foot & Ankle Leadership and serve as Executive Assistant for our Vice President and General Manager of the Foot & Ankle business. This individual will be expected to execute marketing and administrative duties with minimal direction at the highest level, including managing time-critical, sensitive and/or confidential information. Coordinates schedules for leaders, prioritizing functions and appointments ensuring that meetings, deadlines, presentations are carried out seamlessly.
Your duties will be varied and require incredible attention to detail, a sense of urgency and impeccable integrity. From developing presentations, to compiling reports and handling travel, you will provide essential support to our leadership team. We are seeking someone who is tech savvy and can enhance the productivity and success of the leader he or she supports. You would report directly into the Senior Director of Marketing, with dotted line into our Vice President & General Manager.
What You'll Do:
Marketing I Events Function: 70%
- Work collaboratively with event leadership, marketing partners and business stakeholders to support and execute integrated event plans and experiences, including agenda development, vendor management, contract negotiation, expense management, food and beverage management, audio visual management, budget, event analysis and measurement.
- Seamlessly support coordinating meetings, events and travel between global teammates and locations
- Manage individual events budget, ensuring disciplined spend management and optimization of internal and external resources.
- Coordinate departmental/company meetings and other events including selection of venue, handling logistics and negotiating with vendors (travel expected)
- Build and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and cross-functional internal teams, creative services, digital marketing, etc.
- Create registration websites and custom email communications including invitations, reminders, and confirmations.
- Utilize tracking and measurement tools to determine the qualitative and quantitative effectiveness of events.
- Work with marketing leaders to maintain, report and forecast annual brand meeting budgets.
- Ensure the integrity of all HCP interactions at conventions and affiliated meetings in accordance with corporate guidelines and policies.
Executive Function: 30%
- Serve as main point of contact and represents the VP & GM in a professional and positive manner
- Works cooperatively and collaboratively with other executives and staff members to create a high-functioning team that sets and achieves goal
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date calendar, including prioritizing and scheduling meetings, revising schedule due to changing needs, arranging meeting logistics, etc.
- Prepares leader for each day by presenting a calendar, gathering and organizing appropriate supporting materials and files for meetings and activities, and reviewing the information with the executive.
- Ensure executive remains on schedule.
- Anticipates needs and proactively facilitates appropriate people and other resources to address those needs.
- Draft correspondence, speeches, presentations and press materials and announcements from the executive office, as well as develop staff and board presentations, annual reports and policy manuals
- Handle all GM travel bookings, reservations, and expenses
- Exercise discretion and judgment and handles highly sensitive and confidential information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2 years of experience in a related professional setting, marketing, customer service, event planning or an administrative assistant capacity preferred.
