KKCS is seeking a Cost Engineer III to support the Terminal 5 (T5) Program at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). This program includes the full demolition and reconstruction of the Terminal 5 headhouse and concourse, along with enabling scopes. The Sr. Cost Engineer will report to the T5 Program Controls Manager and lead cost reporting and forecasting efforts on a high-profile, multi-phase aviation infrastructure project. This is a full-time, onsite position with a work schedule of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday–Friday). Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required and is considered part of the salaried compensation.

- Monitor project budgets and expenditures for LAWA’s multi-billion-dollar Capital Improvement Program.
- Analyze subcontractor invoices, prepare job costing reports, and allocate expenditures to appropriate WBS numbers.
- Perform cost-to-complete analyses factoring staffing plans, commitments, expenditures, change orders, and trends.
- Attend project meetings to provide up-to-date financial data and trend logs.
- Create and maintain cost reports, charts, and briefing documents to communicate progress.
- Review task orders, contracts, and interdepartmental agreements for budget validation and tracking.
- Reconcile bid awards, change orders, and task orders against current budgets and incorporate into forecasts.
- Maintain and update Prolog system with commitments, trends, expenditures, and WBS structure.
- Coordinate with LAWA Governance for all budget modifications and CIP change requests.
- Support project closeout and ensure Prolog data integrity for reporting.
- Provide documentation for journal vouchers and budget transfers.
- 10 years of cost engineering experience on large-scale construction projects, preferably in aviation.
- Experience with Design-Build, Progressive GMPs, and CMAR delivery methods is desirable.
- Proven ability to lead cost engineering functions and reporting on multi-phase programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and management-level stakeholders.
- Experience managing a team of cost engineers is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
- Required certification: Certified Cost Engineer (CCE), Certified Cost Professional (CCP), or equivalent.
- Additional credentials such as PMP or PE are preferred.
- Proficient in Prolog, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam.
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
Salary : $151,840 - $156,000
