Payroll Specialist Job Duties:
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports for multi-state clients
- Understand proper taxation of benefits.
- Basic understanding of garnishment calculations and compliance.
- Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary, Bonuses, etc.
- Process manual checks as needed.
- Microsoft office suite knowledge
- Research issues and work with departments within the company to resolve any issues
- Respond to employees/client contacts inquiries and manage your email inbox.
- Special Projects as needed
Payroll Specialist Skills/Qualifications:
- 6 months of payroll experience
- PrismHR Experience is preferred
- FPC/CPP or willing to become Certified is preferred
- Degree is preferred, but not required
- Bilingual, Spanish speaking is a PLUS
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Solid critical thinking and attention to detail
- Superb communications skills required
- Intermediate spreadsheet knowledge a plus
Schedule:
- 8:30 – 5pm EST
- Monday to Friday
- Hybrid - Park Ridge, NJ or Virtual Positions available
