What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jobsite Sales- Professional Contractors (State College and region)- MEP position at Construction Tool Service?
Summary
We are a leading supplier to all of State College?s regional contractors. Your territory is Johnstown-toward State College over to Altoona, Williamsport and Dubois. Your responsibility is to identify the sites the contractors are working on, and follow up on quotes generated working with the CEO and management staff to hit agreed upon goals. 3 days a week should be based at the branch location near the Casino.
We have a reliable inside staff who is knowledgeable of the customers and the sites, we are not a new company, and clients come to us for our key brands. We have to do a good job of letting them know what we have available, and coming through on the order.
Our clients are general, mechanical, electrical and HVAC clients. We represent 3M Firestopping, DeWalt, Ridgid, Milwaukee, Greenlee, Klein, PIP Safety and more. Hanging and fastening is our specialty, along with engineered firestopping systems and specified mechanical fastening.
We call on the active sites, where there is a crane, 50-100 people working on a job: we are on site.
Duties
Your role is to generate new opportunities and maintain existing clients. Quote daily and maintain the contacts in a simple, not frustrating CRM.
You will network, make cold calls, and generate new business.
Must be a self-starter, ambitious, and hardworking. Confidence in communicating and engaging with people.
2-3 years construction sales experience required. Computer skills: Email, Excel, Word, and our fairly easy standard ERP. Must have a valid drivers license.

2-5 years sales experience
Can use our laptop and smartphone for directions, photos, email, order entry and call management
Pre-employment drug screening, background and driver record check required
High school diploma (or equivalent) helpful
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
Excellent knowledge of the local area contractors
Ability to sit in vehicle for long periods of time
Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for lifting
Must be an excellent communicator, work closely with our staff at the branch

Socially astute to know where you can bring value to the customer
