Position Summary
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for accurately documenting, tracking, storing, and retrieving customer contents after disasters such as fires or floods. This role supports the inventory team in conducting pack-outs, managing storage, and ensuring proper item handling to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Documentation:
- Tag and barcode items at intake.
- Photograph and record items using inventory software.
- Maintain detailed condition reports.
- Pack-Out Support:
- Assist with on-site pack-outs at customer properties.
- Wrap, pad, and safely load items for transport.
- Warehouse Management:
- Organize items in designated storage locations.
- Perform inventory cycle counts.
- Support delivery scheduling and returns.
- Quality Control:
- Check for damage or missing items.
- Follow SOPs for labeling, tracking, and handling.
- Teamwork & Communication:
- Work closely with the Inventory Manager, technicians, and cleaning staff.
Communicate effectively with team members and occasionally with customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior warehouse, moving, or inventory experience.
- Familiarity with restoration or moving industry.
- Experience using barcoding or inventory management software.
Working Conditions
- Warehouse, office, and on-site customer locations.
- Occasional travel for pack-outs and returns.
- Physical work including lifting, bending, and standing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
